The Standard Signicade A-Frame is a fundamentally different construction from the steel and aluminum A-frame ranges. The entire body, including the sign faces and frame structure, is heavy-duty plastic moulded in white. This makes it lighter, weather-resistant without surface treatment, and immune to the rust and powder coat degradation concerns of metal frames in sustained outdoor sidewalk use.
The base is hollow and can be filled with sand or water on-site, adding ballast weight that increases stability on exposed outdoor pavement without requiring the frame to be heavier at the factory. Two UV printed graphics on 4 mil permanent adhesive vinyl are included, applied to the recessed sign areas on the front and back faces. The recessed design positions the graphic surface below the surrounding plastic border, which protects the graphic edges and faces from scuffing during normal sidewalk handling and foot traffic contact.
